Refresher lessons in Dubbo are $70 per hour, minimum one hour. Wellington and Gilgandra are $85 per hour with a two-hour minimum, and Geurie, Wongarbon and Narromine are $75. Night driving lessons are $90 per hour.

Where You'll Actually Be Driving in Dubbo
We do not throw you straight into traffic. Your first refresher lesson usually starts on the quieter residential streets around West Dubbo or Delroy Park, where you can rebuild the basics- smooth braking, steering position, mirror checks without anything coming at you.
Once that feels natural, we move into real conditions. Macquarie Street and Cobra Street for stop-start town traffic and lane discipline. The Whylandra Street and Mitchell Highway roundabouts, which catch out most returning drivers.
Then the Newell Highway for merging and highway speed, which is the part people who have been off the road for years dread most.

What a Refresher Actually Looks Like
One of our Dubbo students had not driven since a minor collision three years earlier. She still held a full licence but had not touched the wheel since, and her family had been driving her to work in the meantime.
Her first lesson never left a car park. Twenty minutes of just getting comfortable in the driver’s seat, then slow laps until her grip loosened. Second lesson, quiet streets in West Dubbo. Third, town traffic on Macquarie Street. By the fourth she was merging onto the Newell Highway.
Four hours of lessons, spread across three weeks. She now drives herself to work. That is a fairly typical arc, most refresher students need somewhere between two and six hours, not a full course.

Meet Your Instructor
Your refresher lessons in Dubbo are taught by Mainul Hassan, who holds a Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training and has over 12 years of driving experience. Alongside teaching learners, Mainul is a Safer Drivers Course facilitator and coach, and an authorised Senior Driver Assessor for Transport for NSW.
