- Who we are
A reliable, affordable and flexible driving school
AUZ Driving School is based at 172 Gipps St in Dubbo and teaches across the Central West. We are a driving school where you will feel at home with experienced, reliable and friendly instructors — and where lessons are paced around you rather than a fixed script.
Read our Google reviews and the same word comes up again and again: patient. That is not an accident. Most people who book a first lesson are nervous, and the fastest way through that is an instructor who does not rush, does not sigh, and explains the same thing twice without making you feel stupid.
- Rated 5.0 from 340 Google reviews by learners across the Central West.
- Automatic and manual instruction, so you learn on the transmission you will drive.
- Seven days a week, from 7am, with evening lessons available.
- Seven towns covered from our Dubbo base.
- All ages and backgrounds welcome, from 16-year-olds to senior drivers.
How we teach
Every student starts in a different place. Some have never sat in a driver’s seat. Some have 80 logbook hours and a test booked. Some held a licence overseas for twenty years and need to adjust to Australian rules. The first lesson establishes where you actually are, and everything after that is built on it.
Lessons run in a fully insured dual-control car, so your instructor can intervene instantly if something gets ahead of you. After every drive you get individual feedback: what went well, what to work on, and what to practise with your supervisor before the next lesson. Your logbook is signed on the spot.
What we teach
Nine services covering the full range of what learners and licensed drivers need, from a first-ever lesson through to senior driver assessments and car hire for your driving test. See the full service list.
Where we teach
From our Dubbo base we travel to Wellington, Gilgandra, Narromine, Geurie, Wongarbon and Tomingley. Rates and minimum booking lengths vary by town because of travel time — the pricing page lists every rate, and each service area has its own page.
Not sure which service you need? Call 0433 605 337, tell us where you are up to, and we will tell you honestly what will get you licensed fastest — even if that is fewer lessons than you expected.
